Žuta Dunja translates to “Yellow Quince” and is the flagship and most recognised rakija from Podrum Pevac. This was the maiden product that introduced the distillery to the market and remains its best-selling and most celebrated expression, setting the benchmark for aged quince rakija in Serbia.

Crafted exclusively from aromatic quince grown in the Leskovac region of southern Serbia, Žuta Dunja is gently aged in oak, allowing the spirit to develop its characteristic golden colour and layered complexity while preserving quince’s natural floral intensity.

In the glass, it shows a warm golden hue, often accented by 23-carat edible gold flakes, a signature presentation detail that underscores its status as a ceremonial and gift-worthy rakija. Aromas of fresh quince, honeyed orchard fruit and soft spice lead into a smooth, rounded palate with elegant sweetness, subtle oak influence and a long, composed finish.

Žuta Dunja is traditionally enjoyed at room temperature, sipped slowly as an aperitif or digestif. It pairs beautifully with light desserts, nut-based sweets and mild cheeses, but is just as compelling on its own.
