Shipping & Delivery Policy

Shipping Within Australia

Podrum Food & Liquor ships to valid residential and business addresses within Australia.

We use a range of trusted delivery partners including (but not limited to) Australia Post, Aramex, DHL, StarTrack, Sendle, Couriers Please, TNT, TOLL and other reputable courier services as required.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to select the most appropriate shipping carrier to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of your order.

We do not ship to PO Boxes.

There is no minimum order requirement.

Podrum Food & Liquor promotes the responsible service of alcohol at all times.


Age Verification & Legal Compliance

In accordance with Australian law, it is illegal for any person under the age of 18 to purchase or receive alcohol.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are over 18 years of age, and

  • The recipient of the order is also over 18 years of age

Deliveries may require valid photo identification upon receipt. Couriers may refuse delivery if age verification cannot be completed.

Podrum Food & Liquor reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order where we believe legal obligations are not being met.


Dispatch & Delivery Timeframes

Orders are dispatched Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays).

We aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours, however dispatch times are not guaranteed and may vary during peak periods or due to operational factors.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes

  • Sydney & Melbourne Metro: Usually next business day (not guaranteed)

  • Major Australian Cities: 2–4 business days

  • Regional & Rural Areas: Up to 7 business days (or longer depending on location)

We do not offer same-day delivery.

Where available, Podrum Food & Liquor may utilise private courier services for select Sydney metro deliveries.


Express Shipping

If Express Shipping is selected:

  • We aim to dispatch orders the same business day if placed before the daily cut-off time

  • Estimated delivery timeframes:

    • NSW, VIC, ACT: Next business day

    • QLD, SA, TAS, NT: 1–2 business days

    • WA: Approximately 2–3 business days

Important:

  • Express shipping timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed

  • Express Shipping is not included in Free Shipping offers

  • Free shipping applies to standard shipping only


Delivery Charges

  • FREE Standard Shipping on orders over $200

  • Flat rate $15 shipping for orders under $200

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout.


Delivery Conditions & Liability

All delivery timeframes provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Courier network disruptions

  • Weather conditions

  • Peak periods (e.g. sales, holidays)

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery details

  • Remote or regional delivery limitations

Once an order has been dispatched, Podrum Food & Liquor is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers.

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon dispatch or delivery (depending on carrier terms).

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Podrum Food & Liquor is not liable for any loss, damage, or delay occurring during transit

  • We do not guarantee delivery dates or times under any circumstances


Authority to Leave (ATL) & Safe Drop

If Authority to Leave is granted (either explicitly or by default courier practice), your order may be left in a safe place at the delivery address.

Podrum Food & Liquor is not responsible for:

  • Lost or stolen parcels after delivery

  • Parcels left in a safe place

If you prefer signature on delivery, please ensure this is selected where available.


Extreme Weather & Transport Conditions

In the event of extreme weather, heat, or unsafe transport conditions, we reserve the right to delay dispatch to protect product quality and integrity.

We will contact you where possible to arrange an alternative dispatch or delivery time.


Incorrect Address / Failed Delivery

Customers are responsible for ensuring all delivery details are correct at checkout.

If:

  • An incorrect address is provided

  • Delivery is unsuccessful

  • The parcel is returned to sender

Additional shipping fees may apply for redelivery.


Same Day Delivery & Click & Collect

We currently do not offer same-day delivery.

We are working toward introducing Click & Collect, subject to licensing and operational approvals. Updates will be provided once available.


If You Think Your Order Is Lost

Before contacting us, please check the following:

1. Tracking

Use the tracking link provided in your dispatch email for the latest status.

2. Notifications

Check for:

  • Delivery cards

  • SMS or email updates

  • Courier app notifications

3. Accepted on Your Behalf

Check with:

  • Household members

  • Workplace or reception

  • Building management or mailroom

4. Safe Place Delivery

Look around your property, including:

  • Front door

  • Behind gates or bins

  • Mailbox or parcel lockers

5. Address Confirmation

Ensure the delivery address entered was correct.

6. Service Delays

Courier networks may experience delays during peak periods or disruptions.
