Potpis Barrique Wild Pear Brandy is a premium Serbian fruit spirit crafted by Potpis Distillery, a family-run producer based near Avala Mountain, Serbia — a region with long roots in orchard fruits and rakija tradition. The name Potpis (Serbian for “signature”) reflects the distillery’s commitment to elevating classic Balkan fruit spirits with thoughtful craft and small-batch production.

This expression begins with hand-selected wild pears (divlja kruška), known for their intense perfume and aromatic complexity. After fermentation and double distillation in traditional copper stills, the spirit is gently matured in oak barrique barrels. The barrique influence adds a golden hue, texture and subtle wood spice while allowing the elegant pear character to remain front and centre.

In the glass, Potpis Wild Pear Brandy shows lifted aromas of ripe orchard fruit, honeyed pear and floral spice, followed by a smooth, layered palate with integrated oak, light vanilla notes and a lingering finish that’s richly aromatic yet balanced.

Wild pear rakija occupies a unique place within Balkan spirits — more delicate and aromatic than classic plum (šljivovica) and more textured than neutral grape brandies — and this barrique-aged version elevates that experience for contemplative sipping.
