Movia Puro is one of Slovenia’s most distinctive sparkling wines, produced by the renowned Movia winery in the Brda wine region. Crafted using traditional methods and bottled undisgorged, Puro continues ageing on its natural yeasts until the very moment you choose to open it.

Fresh, complex and exceptionally dry, Puro combines fine persistent bubbles with citrus, orchard fruit, mineral character and the savoury complexity developed through extended lees ageing.

What truly sets Movia Puro apart is the ritual of opening it. Rather than being disgorged at the winery like conventional sparkling wine, the final disgorgement is left to you — creating a memorable experience and allowing the wine to remain protected by its natural yeast until serving.

IMPORTANT — HOW TO OPEN MOVIA PURO

Movia Puro is sold undisgorged, so natural yeast and sediment remain inside the bottle. Do not open it like an ordinary sparkling wine.

Before serving, place the bottle upside down for approximately 24 hours at around 0°C. This allows the sediment to settle into the neck of the bottle.

Keeping the bottle upside down, submerge the neck in a bucket of cold water and carefully remove the cork. Keep the neck submerged for approximately 1–2 seconds as the pressure naturally expels the collected yeast and sediment.

Turn the bottle upright and serve.

This unique underwater disgorgement is part of the Puro experience and one of the reasons Movia Puro has become such a distinctive expression of Slovenian sparkling wine.
