Unlike clear, unaged styles of Loza, Korlat Loza Barrique undergoes extended oak maturation. The spirit is produced from grape pomace of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah before being matured in small oak barrels. International product specifications identify a maturation period of 24 months, allowing the grape distillate to develop considerably greater depth and barrel character.
