The family proudly identifies as part of the historic Slovenian minority in Italy, and their legal family surname is Figelj, a name originating from Goriška Brda. Although officially a Product of Italy, the family's identity and winemaking story are deeply intertwined with the Slovenian culture of this unique border region.
Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Villa Dugo offers a cooler-climate interpretation of this internationally renowned variety. Rather than an overly heavy Cabernet, it combines dark fruit, freshness, smooth tannins and savoury complexity, creating an approachable yet characterful European red.
