A Decade in Oak
Victory isn't simply an aged quince rakija. It is a carefully balanced blend of some of Emperus' oldest quince distillates, produced in 2012 and 2013 from the first harvests of the distillery's newly planted quince orchards.
The spirit spends ten years ageing in oak barrels from Jastrebac, developing its characteristic old-gold colour and transforming fresh quince character into something considerably deeper. Emperus describes an intense aroma of ripe quince layered with vanilla and fine oak-derived spices, followed by a full, rounded structure and long, elegant finish.
Production remains traditional, including fermentation with the seed-bearing core removed, allowing the fruit itself to remain at the centre of the finished rakija.
