The estate is located in Istria, in the small village of Krasica, south of the town of Buje, in the northern part of the Istrian peninsula, near the Slovenian and Italian borders. The property spans 10 hectares of vineyards and 5 hectares of olive trees. Situated approximately 200 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from abundant sunshine as well as cool, salty sea breezes from the Adriatic Sea, just 10 kilometres to the west. The soil is limestone flysch, which, with its low fertility and excellent drainage, creates the ideal conditions to stress the old vines just enough to produce high-quality fruit. The estate’s primary goal is to enhance and express the unique terroir of the region.
